The International Aviation College, Ilorin, Kwara State, will open its doors in October 2010. For a start 20 students will be admitted – application process to start in the near future – and within the next three years the number should rise to a 100 students. Ten instructors are currently under training in South Africa and the school acquired four Diamond training aircraft.

Bukola Saraki has done well for himself, his state, and indeed for aviation in nigeria!! that will make 2 the number of aviation schools in nigeria…a very POOR number as far as i am concern, i believe i speak the mind of aviation enthusiast.
As the most populus nation we deserve more, to bring us to par with south africa whose general aviation has no rival in africa! i hereby call on the libralisation of the aviation school sector in terms of policies and govt requirments for opening such instutions.
Those in the industry(aviation) will agree that such instution will provide jobs for fresh graduate pilots, who are low on hours and are always at the mercy of airlines for employment.
i hope the dreams of the aviation school will be sustained, and subsequent govt wont chock it. I look forward to its opening in October.

I am an applicant for a CPL Course into International Aviation College and from the knowledge I have it is opening up by October 2010 and often now I have not heard of anything.
